Super Performance Reviews – Beware

From time to time, investors will wonder if their superannuation is performing, which has opened up a space for advice groups to do “health checks” or super performance reviews for unsuspecting investors.

Sometimes these come via cold calls, but today it’s more likely you’ll see an ad on Facebook from a marketing company. You’ll click through and enter your details, then they’ll call you back and try and direct you to an adviser.

Most of these health checks or performance reviews will not be a thorough review of a person’s circumstances, or even a legitimate review of their super fund. Their aim is to rollover your super to a new fund and take several thousand from your fund in the process.
